Foothill High issues guidelines for Halloween costumes

All costumes must follow the dress code policy

Halloween is a minimum class day at Foothill High School Monday where administrators also have issued six costume guidelines for those coming to class in Halloween attire.

1. Costumes should be appropriate for school. All costumes must follow the dress code policy set forth in the student handbook.

2. Costume should be tasteful. No revealing or vulgar costumes will be allowed on campus.

3. Costumes should not hamper students ability to carry school supplies or be seated in class. Costumes that require unsafe items such as weapons of any type, including replicas, plastic or fake, are not allowed.

4. Costumes that can be construed as of sensitive due to race, religion or sexual orientation are not allowed.

5. No face masks that cover the entire face will be allowed. Teachers and staff we need to be able to identify students.

6. Costumes should not have blood or gore incorporated into them.
