A man who died Thursday morning in a collision in Sunol was identified by the Alameda County coroner as Jesus Galvez Castro, 27, of Livermore.
Castro died in a collision that was reported at 8 a.m. on state
Highway 84 at Little Valley Road, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.
Castro was driving east on Highway 84 when he lost control of his Infiniti and drifted onto the right shoulder.
He swerved back on the road but overcorrected and ended up in the
westbound lane where a SUV broadsided his vehicle, CHP Officer Derek Reed said.
The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
