Valley Concert Chorale seeking seasoned singers

Holding auditions for new exciting concerts

The Valley Concert Chorale is holding auditions next month for experienced singers who can sight-read and who enjoy exciting and challenging music. The chorale performs music that ranges from classical to contemporary and folk to jazz.

The group's 53rd concert season will feature the following performances and events:

* December -- Traditional Carols with a Twist

* March -- March Madness with the Masters

* May -- Eriks Esenvalds Choral Festival: Eriks Esenvalds, Artist in Residence

Auditions are being held Mondays Sept. 12, 19 and 26. For an appointment, call 736-9731. Auditions and rehearsals are held at the First Presbyterian Church of Livermore, 2020 Fifth St.

The all-volunteer, nonprofit chorale receives financial support from grants, ticket sales, membership dues, fundraisers and donations. For more information, visit
