Registration period opens today for candidates for public offices

 

The period to nominate candidates for Pleasanton city offices in the November election begins on Monday morning (July 18) and runs until Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.

Pleasanton residents will vote for mayor and two City Council members during the Nov. 8 General Election. The mayoral post is a two-year term and the council positions are four-year terms.

To learn more, prospective candidates for city positions should call 931-5027 to schedule an appointment with the city clerk's office.

Pleasanton residents will also cast votes in November for three school board seats up for election, as well as for a variety of state and federal candidates and state and regional ballot measures.
