Segments of Iron Horse Trail closed for repairs on weekdays

Trail to stay open on weekends

The East Bay Regional Park District is closing segments of the Iron Horse Regional Trail this summer for pavement maintenance and improvements.

The majority of the closures will take place through July 28, but some work will continue through the end of August. The trail will be open on weekends.

The locations affected by the trail detours, all in Dublin, include:

Alamo Canal Trail at the Highway 580 underpass

Dublin BART at Dublin Boulevard

Dublin Boulevard to Dougherty Road

Dougherty Road to Amador Valley Boulevard

Amador Valley Boulevard to Alameda/Contra Costa border

The Iron Horse Trail improvements include resurfacing, crack sealing, leveling, micro surfacing, slurry sealing, seal coating, and removal and replacement of damaged asphalt.
