Free movies in Amador Valley Community Park start tonight in Pleasanton

Dublin's free movies in the park continue in Emerald Park Friday, July 22

Free movies outdoors are being offered in city parks starting tonight in Pleasanton and continuing Fridays in Dublin on July 22.

The first in the Pleasanton series is "Minions," to be shown tonight at Amador Valley Community Park, located at 4455 Black Ave., behind the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center.

Coming up are "Labyrinth", July 14; "Mulan", July 21; "Inside Out", July 28; "Ant Man", Aug. 4, and "ET, The Extra Terrestrial", Aug. 11.

Mark Duncanson, the city's recreation coordinator, said all films will be shown at dusk on a giant screen that measures 26 feet diagonally. All films scheduled are rated PG or G.

Dublin's outdoor summer movie series continues Fridays with the next showing on July 22, featuring "The Goonies".

In Dublin, food, beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase beginning at 7:00 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk. Bring low-back chairs and/or blankets for sitting, and dress warmly. Pet are not allowed.

The final movie in the series is:

"Frozen, Sing-Along Edition" (PG) on Aug. 19.
