Sean Ketner, 25, died after pickup crashed into pole

A 25-year-old Pleasanton man died after his truck slammed into a pole on Stanley Boulevard early Sunday morning.

Sean Ketner, an Amador Valley High School graduate, died shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday after his Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crashed into a metal pole on Stanley Boulevard near Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, according to authorities.

Ketner was driving west toward Pleasanton when he lost control of his pickup, which spun before running into the pole, according to California Highway Patrol.

Ketner died at the scene of the crash, CHP stated.

The road was closed for about two hours after the incident. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no passengers in Ketner's car, CHP said.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, according to the CHP.
