Celebration of Life event planned for June 7

'Survivorship: Life after Cancer' to feature motivational, educational speakers

Cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to the 24th Annual Tri-Valley Celebration of Life program on Tuesday, June 7, at the Dublin Holiday Inn.

The program, "Seasons of Surviving," will include motivational and educational speakers and information on community resources.

Dr. Kavitha P. Raj, a consultant at the Valley Medical Oncology group, will speak on "Survivorship: Life after Cancer." Petra Lentz-Snow, a cancer survivor, will speak on "Journeys into Healing."

A reception and registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m.

The Holiday Inn is located at 6680 Regional St. in Dublin.

Sponsors of the event include the Holiday Inn, American Cancer Society, HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation, San Ramon Regional Medical Center, Stanford Health Care/ValleyCare and Valley Medical Oncology Consultants.
