County Clerk-Recorder expands hours at Dublin office

'Significant step in offering greater convenience to customers,' says office-holder Manning

The Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's new satellite office in Dublin has expanded its hours to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Fridays.

The new office at 7600 Dublin Boulevard began operations in early December, but has been open only on Mondays and Tuesdays.

"Starting this week, we will offer the same weekday office hours in Dublin that we have offered for many years at our main office in downtown Oakland,'' said Steve Manning, the county's Auditor-Controller/Clerk-Recorder. "We believe this is a significant step in our efforts to offer greater convenience to our customers.''

The Dublin office will offer services such as providing certified copies of vital records (birth, death and marriage certificates), certified copies of official public records (recorded real estate documents) and document recording.

In the future, the Dublin office will expand services to include the issuance of marriage licenses, notary bonds, fictitious business names and other records. Currently, these services are offered only at the Clerk-Recorder's main office at 1106 Madison St., Oakland.
