Tri-Valley Rotary to hold 'Grease' screening, sing-along tonight at Vine Theater

Fundraiser to include favorite songs, raffle

The Tri-Valley Evening Rotary Club of Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore will present a sing along of the popular 1950s/60s movie musical "Grease" starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Vine Theater on First Street in Livermore.

Screening of the popular movie, which stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton John, begins at 7 p.m. There will also be a raffle.

Carol Vander Meulen of the Tri-Valley Evening Rotary Club and its past president, suggests that participants come to the event in costume for even more fun and join in singing favorite hits from the movie, including: "Greased Lightning," "Summer Nights" and "Beauty School Dropout."

Tickets are $15 and are available on the Tri-Valley website at: www.trivalleyrotary.org/

Group ticket sales of 10 or more will have a 20% discount and can also be obtained online.

Proceeds will benefit Rotary International's End Polio Now, Tri-Valley Evening Rotary's annual Livermore VA Hospital Veterans' BBQ, the club's annual coat drive and other local projects in the Tri-Valley area.
