Spring comes to Pleasanton in time for Lincoln's birthday today

While midwest, east suffers with brutal cold temperatures, we're enjoying a warm weekend

While our friends in many midwestern and eastern states are still battling the snow and chills of winter, it's an early spring in Pleasanton.

Spring favorites from daisies to sunny yellow tulips and this flowering cherry in the 1000 block of Crellin Road make for colorful yards and street-scapes throughout the city as California celebrates Lincoln's birthday.

Perhaps a few more showers will follow to help make the transition to Spring and Easter flowers a great start to 2016.

I really hope we get more showers/rain. I'm worried that we might be close to the end. I'm not sure about celebrating an early spring in the beginning of February, though it does look pretty...
