Opinions due today on school district's survey for new superintendent

District looking for input on qualities of new superintendent as search continues

The Pleasanton school district launched a survey this week so all residents can give their input on what qualities they'd like to see in the district's new superintendent with a deadline of today for submitting views.

The survey follows five public forums in which parents, teachers and students shared strengths and weaknesses of the district and the city.

The school district is searching for a new superintendent after former superintendent Parvin Ahmadi resigned last May to take a job as Castro Valley's superintendent. Former Amador Valley principal Jim Hansen is filling in as interim superintendent until June.

McPherson & Jacobson, the superintendent search firm hired by the district, hopes to have a new superintendent in place by this summer.

Links to the survey in English, Spanish, Chinese and Korean can be found at http://bit.ly/1TdA6F9.
