Holiday parades airing on Tri-Valley TV30

Festivities to be shown throughout holiday season

If you missed attending this season's holiday parades and tree lightings or want to enjoy them again, you can watch them on TV30.

TV30 is broadcasting the taped holiday events for each city at various times throughout the holiday season and all day long on Christmas Day.

Tri-Valley Community Television videotaped the 2015 celebrations in Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore. The events will be shown at various times throughout the holiday season and all day long on Christmas Day.

"These holiday celebrations we broadcast represent hours of planning by those in charge of organizing them and the participants," said Melissa Tench-Stevens, executive director at Tri-Valley Television.

"We consider these events one of the main things we cover all year that highlight community spirit," she added.

The events may be viewed on Comcast TV Channel 30 and AT&T U-verse via Channel 99 as well as streaming live and via video demand on the TV30 website. DVDs are also available for purchase on the website.

Kicking off the festivities was the city of Dublin's 32nd annual tree lighting ceremony that took place on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Dublin Civic Center with seasonal entertainment, caroling and refreshments. Various local groups, performed holiday songs as everyone awaited the arrival of a special guest from the North Pole.

The 20th annual Downtown Livermore Holiday Sights & Sounds Parade was held on Saturday, Dec. 5, featuring over 50 floats, local marching bands, and light displays followed by the lighting of Livermore's holiday tree.

Also taking place on Dec. 5, was the Pleasanton Hometown Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting on Main Street.

The annual community celebration included a parade with floats, marching bands, community groups and more.

Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne presided over the lighting of the holiday tree in front of the Museum on Main.
