Pleasanton museum hosting talk on 1800s 'Little House' author tonight

Actress Judith Helton to have role of Laura Ingalls Wilder at Firehouse lecture

The Museum on Main in Pleasanton will welcome historical actress Judith Helton as the 1800s author of the "Little House" book series in "An Evening with Laura Ingalls Wilder" at the Firehouse Arts Center at 7 p.m. tonight.

The American author, who was born in 1867, wrote books that have spanned generations, taught about pioneer life and inspired the 1970s-80s television show "Little House on the Prairie."

Helton will portray Wilder in this one-woman program presented in arrangement with the Little House Heritage Trust.

All events are general seating at the Firehouse Arts Center, 4444 Railroad Ave. Tickets are $10 general admission; $7 seniors (65+)/students (with valid ID); and $5 for museum members.
