35 new stores opening in August as Livermore's Outlet center expands

Now called San Francisco Premium Outlets, center is adding 185,000 square-feet

Livermore's outlet center at El Charro Road and I-580, now renamed San Francisco Premium Outlets, will open a new 185,000 square-foot addition Aug. 13, with 35 new stores coming to the new section before the Christmas holidays.

The expansion will boast additional luxury and designer names, including the first outlet location from international fashion house Dsquared, as well as A/X Armani Exchange, CH Carolina Herrera, Ermenegildo Zegna, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone New York, Scotch & Soda, Ted Baker London, Tory Burch, UGG Australia, Versace and Vince.

As a result of the center's growt, existing retailers Armani Outlet and Michael Kors will relocate to larger retail space.

"We're thrilled to welcome this wonderful group of iconic brands and luxury names to San Francisco Premium Outlets this summer," said Dave Ackerman, director of Marketing and Business Development.

"The local community has expressed its excitement and anticipation about what the expansion means for the center, and we're delighted to reveal this first list of new stores," he added. "Each addition complements our current retail mix, and we're so looking forward to sharing even more updates as we near completion of the project."

The shopping center, originally called Livermore Premium Outlets, opened in 2012. Its marketing area has grown to include the entire Bay region, including the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, North Bay and all of the East Bay, Ackerman said.

In addition, shoppers from more than 50 countries are visiting the center every month, he said.

The outlet mall currently employs 2,000 full and part-time employees and will add approximately 750 retail positions with the opening of its expansion.

Heads up Natives and those who have built this Community over many years! Soon becoming the San Fernando Valley. Don't hand this Community over to real estate developers. Losing the real treasure of This Valley. Heads up SF Tourists! What a long haul to shop. Gonna carry your purchases back on Bart? Driving? Good Luck!
