Livermore man dies in mobile home fire

Blaze at 6539 Southfront Road burns 2 manufactured homes

A man was found dead following a fire at a mobile home park in Livermore Wednesday afternoon.

The fire at a mobile home park at 6539 Southfront Road was reported around 1:40 p.m., when police received several 911 calls. Officers arriving on the scene found one home fully-engulfed in flames and a second one next door also on fire, and evacuated the area.

Firefighters from the Livermore-Plesanton Fire Department put out the fire, and discovered a male adult dead inside the trailer that had been fully engulfed in flames. No one else was injured in the fire.

The fire is being investigated by Livermore police and fire officials. Any witnesses or people with information on this fire are asked to call police at (925) 371-4777.

The Alameda County coroner's bureau said the identity of the victim is not yet available.
