San Mateo Bridge reopens to traffic after 2 days of road work

 

Both directions of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge are now open this morning after road crews finished repairs and maintenance on the bridge over the weekend.

A Caltrans official said the westbound lanes of the bridge opened

at 4:55 a.m. yesterday. The eastbound lanes opened shortly before 4 a.m.
