The 2015 Alameda County Fair is looking for entries for its exhibits, contests and competitions this year.
Adult and youth exhibit divisions offer a range of competitive categories such as: Culinary Arts, Garden & Floral, Fiber Arts, Hand Crafts, Hobbies & Collections, and Science & Technology. The youth division includes a School Projects category and talent competition.
Exhibit sub-categories range from pie-baking, quilt making, rose growing, Christmas tree decorating, Pinterest patriotic art, homebrew and winemaking, loom bracelet design, and robotics.
The fair will also include live competitions for all ages, including a Diaper Derby, Hippity Hop Races, golf putting, kissing contest, and cooking and pie-eating competitions.
Those interested in entering a contest or exhibit competition can submit their entry online by May 20. Some competitions are judged in advance of the fair and require earlier entry deadlines.

The fair is scheduled to run from June 17 through July 5 -- open Tuesday through Sunday each week. Admission and rides on opening day will be $1 until 5 p.m. according to fair reps.
