'Fiddler' at Pleasanton Firehouse for 3 days this weekend

Nine-time Tony Award-winning musical rich in historical, ethnic detail

Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre is performing "Fiddler on the Roof" at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. Sundays through May 3 at the Firehouse Arts Center.

The performance stars Ashley Mufich as Chava, Rachel Robinson as Hodel and Dan Kapler as Tevye.

The nine-time Tony Award-winning musical is rich in historical and ethnic detail of a small tight-knit Jewish village in Imperial Russia as poor dairy farmer Tevye tries his best to protect his daughters and instill in them his beloved "Tradition!"

The story brings the laughter, sadness, struggles and joy of a world changing too fast.

Tickets are $17-$38. Purchase online at www.firehousearts.org, call 931-4848, or go to the box office at 4444 Railroad Ave.
