Las Positas College Foundation 'Best of the Best' gala online auction now open

12th annual event to be held April 25

The 12th annual 'Best of the Best' Gala will be held April 25 at Las Positas College, hosted the school's Foundation as a celebration fundraising event that includes performances from talented students.

The evening will be filled with gourmet food, fine local wines, and auction items, all donated by local Tri-Valley businesses and individuals.

During the evening, guests will move from a Pre-Show Reception to the college theater for a Performing Arts Showcase featuring student presentations of dance, vocal, music and interpretive speaking. After the performance, the event will be capped off with a dessert and champagne celebration of the College.

"This year's Gala is especially exciting as Las Positas College is celebrating its 40th anniversary," said Ted Kaye, CEO of the Las Positas College Foundation.

As part of the BEST of the BEST Gala, each year the Foundation hosts an online auction at Biddingforgood.com/LPCFoundation/

It allows those unable to attend the actual event to participate in the fun and has proven to be remarkably effective as a fundraising activity.

This year the on-line auction opens Monday, April 13 and closes April 27. From concert and opera tickets and a skybox for the A's, to winery country adventures and fine dining; from the services of a master tailor to relaxing vacation get-aways, Las Positas College supporters can easily login and bid on a broad array of items with all proceeds going to the college and its students.
