Ruby Hill pro wins NorCal event crown

David Solomon takes home title at PGA Pro-Series 3 tournament

Ruby Hill Golf Club assistant golf professional David Solomon took home the title at the Northern California PGA Pro-Series 3 tournament last month in Daly City.

Solomon, who lives in Alameda, shot a 4-under 68 to finish two shots clear of the second-place finishers at the event at Lake Merced Golf Club.

Last year, Solomon earned the NCPGA Assistant Apprentice Player of the Year award, with association officials noting his exceptional tournament play.

Solomon's previous accolades included winning the 2010 Assistant Championship crown. He played collegiately at Long Beach State University.

The Pro-Series 3 was the third in a series of point events played by PGA professionals vying to claim the title of 2015 Northern California PGA Player of the Year.

In addition to being a true golf talent, Dave's a genuinely nice person. Ruby Hill members are very lucky to have such a skilled yet approachable pro on staff. His teaching ability is well respected, both for kids and adults. We appreciate you, Dave, congratulations on this accomplishment!
