Fire damages storage space at Wente Vineyards

Cause of fire still under investigation

A one-alarm fire damaged a storage unit at Wente Vineyards in unincorporated Livermore early Wednesday morning, a fire battalion chief said.

The fire was reported at 5:04 a.m. in a storage area adjacent to the Cresta Blanca Event Center at 5050 Arroyo Road, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Paul Legasa said.

The flames were contained to the exterior of the structure and were extinguished by 5:30 a.m., Legasa said.

No injuries were reported and fire crews remained at the scene during the morning to investigate the cause of the blaze, Legasa said.
