The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has released the name of the woman killed Sunday in a fatal car crash in Sunol that left two people dead and four injured.

Jun Du, 27, of San Jose was the passenger in a BMW riding on Highway 84 — driven by 27-year-old Yu Jian Sun, of San Jose, who also died in the crash.

Around 6:15 p.m. they were hit by a Toyota Corolla and pushed into the path of a green 2013 Infinity SUV.

Sun was pronounced dead at the scene but Du was flown to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley where she later died.

The Toyota driver was also flown to Eden Medical Center with major injuries. The three Livermore residents in the Infinity, a 71-year-old man, a 68-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl, were all taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials at the coroner’s bureau said Du’s last known city of residence was not immediately available.

Du’s family was out of the country, which made notifying her family of her death difficult, officials said.
