Volunteers are needed to help manage the city’s annual holiday parade, scheduled this year for Dec. 6 on Main Street in downtown Pleasanton.

The festive, community-based parade will start at 5 p.m., followed by the lighting of a holiday tree in front of the Museum on Main about 7 p.m.

Adult and youth volunteers are needed to serve as support with hospitality, stage decoration, parade check-in, parade formation, parade marshals, setup/tear-down crew, and the check-in that is managed by volunteers.

Scout troops and other youth groups are invited to volunteer with a designated number of adult volunteers to supervise these groups. Eligibility for the specific volunteer activities will be determined and assigned by the volunteer coordinator.

Those interested should sign on to the Hometown Holiday website at www.hometownholiday.com/ both to register online and to download a volunteer application.
