Temporary road closures will be in place around Emerald Glen Park in Dublin from 7-10 p.m. tonight for the city’s “splatter” fireworks show.

Central Parkway from Persimmon Drive to Glynnis Rose Drive will be closed, as well as Killian Street, from Central Parkway to Belcarra Court and Bangor Court.

Barricades and signage will be in place to alert drivers of the closures, and Dublin Police officers will be posted at the corner of Central Parkway and Hacienda Drive to assist in redirecting traffic.

In adition, no parking and tow away zone signs will be posted in the fireworks “fall-out zone” in both directions on Central Parkway between Persimmon Drive and Glynnis Rose Drive.

  1. Great story! Well, other than actually explaining what exactly a “spatter fireworks event” is, and what occasion it is celebrating, and what civic or private group is sponsoring the event and paying for said “splatter fireworks”, and where the recommended viewing areas might be.

Other than, a very informative news story!

Oh, I know — the reporters were busy covering the big crash on Foothill, interviewing the police about the teenaged driver who downed a major power pole, etc.
