San Ramon vice principal chosen as Alisal's new principal

Karen Johnson has taught at elementary, middle school levels

Pleasanton Unified School District has selected Karen Johnson as Alisal Elementary School's new principal.

Johnson will be succeeding Terri Quesinberry, who was announced as the new principal at Sunset Elementary School in Livermore on July 24.

Johnson comes from San Ramon Unified School District where she was the vice principal of Stone Valley Middle School since 2012.

She has also been a teacher for the first, third and fourth grades, as well as middle school levels.

In addition, Johnson has served as an elementary school literacy coordinator, intervention specialist, summer school administrator and administrative teacher on special assignment.

According to the district, her strong background in curriculum and professional development will be useful in her new position as principal.

San Ramon is a good district. Good pick up for the Ptown district. Welcome!
