ValleyCare to hold annual meeting tonight

National, statewide health care trends among discussion topics

ValleyCare Health Systems board of directors will hold their annual meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in the ValleyCare Medical Center cafeteria, 5575 W. Las Positas Blvd., Pleasanton.

Scott Gregerson, ValleyCare's chief executive officer, said the meeting, which is open to the public, is an opportunity to learn about national and statewide health care trends, as well as future plans at ValleyCare. It also provides tose attending time to meet with board members and administrators.

ValleyCare Health System was established in 1961, and over the years has grown from a small community hospital into a comprehensive health system with medical facilities in Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin. It recently announced a that it will merge with Stanford University hospital later this year.
