Red Cross to hold blood drive here today

Pleasanton donations can be made at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church

Blood donations typically decline during the summer months, especially around the Independence Day holiday.

To help prevent a summer blood shortage, donors are urged to make an appointment to donate with the American Red Cross.

Donations can be made from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 4005 Stoneridge Dr. in Pleasanton.

For more information, contact the Red Cross at (510) 594-5205.

Register online at www.redcrossblood.org and in search box use the word "interfaith" and then look for July 5th St. Elizabeth Seton link to make an appointment. Chuck Deckert, Interfaith Blood Drive coordinator.
