Dublin CHP seeks information on felony hit and run collision

Collision resulted in major head injuries to 25-year-old female driver

California Highway Patrol from the Dublin area is seeking information on the driver and vehicle of a major injury hit and run collision on June 16, according to Dublin CHP.

The dark-colored vehicle swerved into the left side of a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup on I-580 westbound, just west of Grant Line Road near the Alameda County and San Joaquin County lines.

The impact sent the pickup to its right, where it crossed additional lanes before leaving the freeway, said CHP. The pickup landed on it's wheels on the Grant Line Road onramp to I-580 westbound.

The collision severely injured the pickup driver, Thuy Thi Thu Nguyen, 25, of Modesto.

Nguyen was airlifted to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley after receiving major head injuries, and is currently being treated.

According to reports, the dark-colored vehicle was traveling at 65-79 mph on I-580 westbound just west of Grant Line Road near the Alameda County and San Joaquin County lines.

The suspect vehicle, possibly black in color, was last seen continuing westbound in I-580.

CHP is asking anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or driver to call (707) 551-4100.
