The Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation’s sixth annual Ragin’ Cajun fundraiser held earlier this month was “definitely our financial best Ragin’ Cajun ever,” said Sandra Wing, founder of the foundation and current board chair/president.

“We exceeded our goal of reaching $100,000. We are more than delighted and very, very grateful to all who supported us and participated in our event,” she continued.

Founded in the fall of 2008, the foundation provides funds so that cancer patients can experience the immediate benefit of complementary therapies to help alleviate the side effects caused by radiation and chemotherapy.

The Ragin’ Cajun is not the only fundraiser the foundation holds. Its second annual Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 15 at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton.
