The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the city’s Operations Services Center, 3333 Busch Road.

The informal, workshop session will deal with existing resources and those that will be needed as the city’s population grows over the next 10 years.

  1. We are so fortunate to have the incredible sports park to enjoy and host THOUSANDS of people from all over in a year with tournaments of many sports, runs, etc. and I cannot understand why we don’t have soap in the bathrooms for all the people??? Boggles my mind. I’ve been to other parks in all the towns in the surrounding area San Ramon, Danville, Dublin, Livermore and they all have soap. I can’t imagine it’s that much money to help people have the basic sanitary conditions. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something!! It’s GROSS and quite frankly embarrassing.

  2. There should also be sanitary wipes for the kids who are touching any playground equipment. I guess it would be asking too much of our overpaid park workers to wipe down the playground every morning? I’m tired of worrying about my kids getting cooties on account of the dirty Pleasanton teens and outsiders too who feel they can do anything they want, like soil the kids’ playgrounds, and get away with it. Because, face it, if they’re rich teens or belong to a privileged entitlement group like from Oakland, neither our police or DA will act. It’s so sad but true.

  3. And while they’re at it, is it too much to ask that sparkling water be used in the drinking fountains? I think we’ve earned it given the taxes we pay in this city.

  4. What about doing something BIG like the Silliman center in Newark?

I can’t tell you how many times I brought my kids there for winter-time swimming and fun. They also have a exercise/weightlifting areas along with full court basketball/volleyball gym as well.

This would be one of only a few bonds I could support to fund construction and maintenance.

    Sincerely,

    Dan
