A 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan and miscellaneous items were taken in a residential burglary and auto theft in Pleasanton sometime between 8 p.m Feb. 7 and 10:15 a.m Feb 8.
The van was taken from the garage of a home in the 2200 block of Tanager Drive. Inside the vehicle were a $1,200 camera, fentanyl lozenges valued at $1,000, a $700 camera and tools worth about $400.
In other police reports:
* Police are investigating a report that $1,000 cash was stolen by a former Macy’s Men’s employee between 4:40 and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
According to police reports, the former employee entered the store in the 1400 block of Stoneridge Mall Road, took the money from two cash registers and left the scene.
* The theft of a pickup truck also netted tools worth about $6,500. Among the items stolen were a $3,000 electronic scanner, a $2,000 set of sockets and wrenches, and a toolbox attached to the truck bed. The theft occurred between 3 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 9. The truck was parked in front of the victim’s home in the 4700 block of Harrison Street.
* A resident of the 1500 block of East Gate Way reported someone charged $918 on his credit card after a collection call. In looking over his records, the victim discovered another $2,773 had been charged. The incident was reported at about 4:24 p.m. Feb. 9.
* A burglary from a home in the 8000 block of Mountain View Drive netted a toolbox and tools valued at $1,800. The home’s garage was unlocked when the theft occurred, sometime between 10 p.m. Feb. 7 and 10 a.m. Feb. 8.
* Police are looking into a small arson fire reported at about 5:44 p.m. Feb. 7 at Pleasanton Middle School. A pile of burnt papers was found on a concrete area at the school in the 5000 block of Case Avenue.
* Police are not releasing any information about threats reported at about 11:12 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 4800 block of Bernal Avenue.
* A resident of the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive reported at about 9:07 a.m. Feb. 4 that someone opened a credit card account in her name, which she discovered receiving a $1,200 bill.
* Residents of the 600 block of Sycamore Road reported at about 10:11 a.m. Feb. 4 that two fraudulent transactions totaling $191 were made on their credit card.
* Nothing was taken in a residential burglary reported at about 10:56 a.m. Feb. 10 at a home in the 4300 block of Valley Avenue.
* A resident of the 4400 block of Mohr Avenue reported someone opened a credit card account using his information; no charges were made in the incident, reported at about 3:06 p.m. Feb. 5.
* A resident of the 4200 block of Diavila Avenue reported someone attempted to open a Best Buy account but no charges were made in the incident, reported at about 10:21 a.m. Feb. 10.
Under the law, those arrested are considered innocent until convicted.
