Amador junior earns president's award for volunteer service

 

Jeremy Howald, a junior at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, received the President's Volunteer Service Award last Sunday from Rev. Lucas Hergert of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore.

Howald completed more than 100 hours of community service, which included work with the the New Orleans Special Olympics, and the Center for Ethical Renewal and Social Justice in New Orleans, a non-profit organization committed to rebuilding and renewing the city after Hurricane Katrina.
