Everyone is Scottish this weekend

 

The 145th Scottish Highland Gathering and Games will take place this weekend from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 4-5, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501 Pleasanton Ave. Activities include piping and drumming, a Highland Dance Competition, Celtic Country Dancing, and the Children's Glen, along with a fantastic Grandstand show. Also, the U.S. Marine Band San Diego, some 45 musicians strong, will march as a precursor to the 145th Scottish Highland Gathering and Games, starting today at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, from Old Bernal Rd. to St. Mary St. Call (800) 713-3160 or 443-4700 or visit www.caledonian.org.
