Pleasanton Concert Band to play in Livermore next Thursday

Variety of music on tap for 2-hour performance at city's Farmers Market

The Pleasanton Community Concert Band will perform at the Livermore Farmer's Market at Fourth and J streets from 6 to 8 p.m. next Thursday.

Bud Engel, vice president of the band, said it will play a variety of musical styles including selections from popular songs, oldies, pops and marches. A salute to the centennial of compositions by Chopin and Robert Schumann will be included.
