K. Hovnanian Homes is planning a new neighborhood of single-family homes at Positano, a master-planned community in the rolling hills along the eastern edge of Dublin.
Dubbed Livorno at Positano, the community will feature a limited edition of 69 homes with three distinct new home designs ranging from approximately 2,500 to more than 3,000 square feet.
The builder plans to begin construction on the community's model homes in October and open for sales in November.
The developer said Dublin was selected for the new community of homes due to its growing population and proximity to employment centers, retail services, educational facilities, recreational centers and public transportation. Located just one mile from Interstate 580, near the intersection of Positano Parkway and Fallon Roads in Dublin, the development will also be near the Pleasanton-Dublin East BART station.
"In recent years, Dublin has undergone extensive commercial and residential development to meet increasing demand," said Mary Lou Hovie, director of marketing for K. Hovnanian Homes. "The homes planned at Livorno are designed to meet the needs of a variety of homebuyers, including local families, single professionals and working commuters."
Dublin's population has grown by nearly 50 percent since 2000, and is expected to increase by another 25-35 percent in the next 10 years.
