Tuesday's forecast calls for high of 80 degrees today in Pleasanton, Tri-Valley

Weather Service calling for moderate temperatures for rest of week

Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley will see a high temperature of only 71 degrees today with mostly sunny skies. Brisk winds of 10 to 25 mph are expected.

Tonight the Tri-Valley is expected to become mostly cloudy, with patchy drizzle possible after midnight. A low of 49 degrees is anticipated with the National Weather Service calling for variable winds up to 30 mph in higher elevations.

On Saturday, the high temperature will only reach 72 degrees, but then rise to a predicted 78 degrees for Sunday, Father's Day. Although a warming trend is predicted for the week ahead, those participating in Rotary's Spirit Run in downtown Pleasanton early Sunday are advised to cary jackets along as temperatures are likely to be in the low-to-mid 60s when thee race gets under way.
