Ayala votes in state primary, MeasureD referendum

Turn-out seems light for statewide contest

Former Councilwoman Kay Ayala takes her granddaughter Elliot along to vote this afternoon at the polling place at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Elliot is the daughter of Dan and Jeanine Ayala.

Assisting in signing in voters are Dana and Ed Cintrone, the judge and clark of Precinct No. 522400. With more than 70 votes cast so far plus another 100 absentee ballots carried to the precinct, the Trinity church polling place was among the most active in Pleasanton for the primary.

Polls close at 8 p.m. tonight.
