Near 90 today in Pleasanton, Tri-Valley as late spring temperatures head towards summer

Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley will remain warm today with sunny skies and a high temperature of 89 degrees by mid-afternoon. Northwest winds of 5 mph will kick up to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon, providing some relief for the late spring heat.

Tonight, the Tri-Valley is expected to be mostly clear with a low of 59 degrees.

Another hot, summery day will follow Sunday with a high of 87 degrees expected by mid-day. The National Weather Service is calling for clear skies and temperatures well into the 80s for the week ahead.
