More than 900 swimmers, spectators jam Pleasanton's aquatic center for weekend meet

Seahawks host Junior Plus 2010 event with 10 hours of competition both days

Pleasanton Seahawks' swimmer Jia Perry s competes in the boys Individual Medley Sunday as the Northern California's Junior Plus 2010 swim meet draws to a close.

More than 900 swimmers and spectators crowed into the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center on Black Avenue in Pleasanton for the major meet.

Hosted by the Pleasanton Seahawks, the competition got under way early Saturday with hundreds of swimmers braving the chilly morning temperatures--followed by near 90-degree heat for most of the two-day event--for a chance to set new individual and team records.
