Saturday's weather forecast calls for sunny skies in Pleasanton, Tri-Valley today with high of only 62 degrees

Brace for a week of showers ahead as Memorial Day weekend approaches

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies but cool temperatures in Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley today with a high of only 62 degrees by mid-day. Winds will be brisk at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight, the Tri-Valley is expected to become increasingly cloudy with a low of 43 degrees.

For Sunday, the forecast is for more of the same: sunny skies but with the thermometer climbing to 67 degrees by mid-day.

Rain is expected for much of the week ahead with the Weather Service predicting showers starting Tuesday and lasting at least through Friday as the Memorial Day weekend approaches. Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-60s with the highest of 69 degrees forecast for Friday.
