Weekend E-cycle event ends today at fairgrounds

Old televisions to toner cartridges to fluorescent bulbs can be dropped off

There's still time today to safely dispose of those old television sets and hazardous fluorescent tubes at Pleasanton's recycling event at the Fairgrounds.

Drop-off hours start at 9 a.m., lasting until 1 p.m. with as many as 2,000 cars filled with unwanted items making it to the last day of the three-day event before closing time today.

Almost any type of electronic equipment from televisions to batteries will be accepted, and there's no limit on the number of items that will be accepted.
