What are Andre and Berta looking at with such intensity? Why are they hanging by their toes on the edge of their chair? The answer is: doggie treats! Andre, a brown neutered male Chihuahua mix, and Berta, a black and white spayed female Chihuahua mix, are wild about treats!

Catherine Hansen Rush of the Pleasanton Police Department calls Berta “B.B.” for short because she is a little round ball of dynamite.

“If this were a video you would see B.B.’s tail wagging furiously from side to side,” she said.

Andre and B.B. are senior dogs at about 10 and 8 years of age, respectively. They are proud members of the East Bay SPCA’s “Second Chance Club.”

“Andre and B.B. are friendly with everyone they meet and are polite with most other dogs,” Rush said. “These two sweet older dogs need daily playtime and they love attention.”

Visit Andre and Berta at the East Bay SPCA Tri-Valley Adoption Center, 4651 Gleason Drive in Dublin, open from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Cal 479-9670.
