Saturday's weather forecast promises sunny day for Dublin parade

It's a great day for a parade and baseball games except for one problem.

Despite nearly a quarter-inch of rain that fell here yesterday, Dublin's annual St. Patrick's Day parade will still get under way at 10 a.m. on city streets, where all the water is now gone.

For Pleasanton's opening day planned this morning by the boys Little League and girls softball league, however, the fields are still too soggy for play. Games may start tomorrow if the Pleasanton parks officials give the OK.

Today, Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley are expected to be mostly sunny today with a high temperature of 59 degrees by mid-day and occasionally brisk winds at 10 to 20 mph.

For tonight, the Tri-Valley expected to be mostly clear. A low temperature of 39 degrees and northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph are anticipated.

For Sunday, the Tri-Valley can look for plenty of sunshine with a warmer temperature of 65 degrees by mid-day and northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph.
