Livermore police are asking for the public's help in finding a 28-year-old woman who left her child with her mother on Monday to go to the store and never returned.
Olivia Aguirre, a Livermore resident, left her 3-year-old child with her mother, borrowed her mother's car and said she would be back in a few minutes.
As of 4:45 p.m. today, Aguirre still had not returned home or called to check on her child. Calls to her cell phone have gone unanswered, police said.
Aguirre has a history of medical conditions and without treatment she could have a stroke or heart attack, her family told police.
She is described as a white woman who usually wears distinctive headscarves to conceal her hair, which is short because of medical treatments, but is growing back, police said.
She is believed to be driving her mother's car, which is a black, four-door 2002 Mitsubishi Galant with California license place No. 4ZHJ298.
Anyone with information about Aguirre's whereabouts is asked to call Lt. Matt Sarsfield at 371-4730.
