Police arrested a 19-year-old Pleasanton man yesterday on suspicion of burglarizing Pans on Fire, a downtown cookware store at 310 Main St.
Police responded to an audible alarm at the store around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday and found Marco Antonio Aguilar-Fragoso hiding behind a storage closet next to the business.
Aguilar-Fragoso was in possession of stolen property from the business, which included keys and two cash boxes containing an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.
He was arrested for burglary and taken to the police station, where he provided investigators with a written statement admitting he burglarized the business, police said. He also allegedly admitted to burglarizing two business offices on the second floor of the Pleasanton Hotel at 855 Main St. last Sunday.
He was booked into the Santa Rita jail on three counts of burglary.
