Supporters of UC Berkeley grads held in Iran plan vigils

Gatherings planned in 20 global locations, including Sunday night in Berkeley

Supporters of three University of California at Berkeley graduates detained in Iran plan vigils Sunday to mark the 100th day of their detention.

Shane Bauer, 27, Sarah Shourd, 31, and Josh Fattal, 27, have been held in Iran since July 31, when they crossed an unmarked border while hiking in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Organizers have scheduled gatherings at more than 20 locations in the U.S. and overseas calling for their release.

One of the vigils is planned in Berkeley, on Sunday at 8 p.m. at 3107 Ellis St.
