Amador Valley High held Livermore High scoreless until the waning minutes of Friday night’s varsity football game, with Livermore scoring on a 6-yard run with 21 second left in the game.

Final score: the Amador Dons 34, Livermore 7.

The Dons scored touchdowns on the first plays of the game, posting 17 points at halftime. Then Kean Stancil ran the ball back for 48 yards after the kickoff, with Dalton Turay running the rest of the distance in the next play to add another touchdown for Amador to make the score

In another play quarterback Patrick Gibbons connected with receiver Tyler Christensen for another touchdown, boosting the score to 31-0. A field goal put Amador ahead at 34-0 before Livermore rallied with minutes to spare for the final plays that prevented a shutout.

  1. What a team! With Foothill not living up to all the hype this year it is great to see Amador doing so well. Hey Dons, take it easy on Foothill in your last game.

  2. I am a huge Don’s fan, but the last thing we need is to think is that Foothill will be a pushover. They played De LaSalle just a tough as we did, they beat MV just like we did. I think Friday’s game will be very close and the EBAL is as close top to bottom this year as it has ever been over all. The Don’s biggest strength this year is they are the epitome of team! Its difficult to try to stop any one weapon and stop their team. The defense has held up against even the most potent of offences. De LaSalle is definately beatable if an EBAL team can put together a completed 4 quarter game. 3 1/2 will not be good enough!

    Go Don’s BEAT THE FALCON’s!!!!!

  3. No team should look past their next game but I’m looking for some Falcon fans to bet me money that they will win. I’m trying to gather up some Christmas gift money, but no takers yet.

  4. Oh and what happened to all the posters that were saying how much better Foothills players, coaches and relatively short history is as compared to Amador?
