While I am aware of the official Great Books, I don't know if your group discusses books outside of those official Books. If you do, then I have the following recommendation...

Regardless of one's political affiliation, I would highly recommend "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin. It has been a best seller on the NYT and Amazon lists this year. It is an absolutely eye-opening, educational and very memorable read.
