Man arrested for alleged car break-in at Larkspur Landing Hotel

Delivery driver sees car window being smashed, calls cops

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Pleasanton Saturday morning after authorities saw him trying to break into a car parked in a hotel parking lot, according to the Police Department.

A delivery driver called 911 shortly before 7 a.m. to report seeing a man smash the window of a vehicle parked in the Larkspur Landing Hotel parking lot at 5535 Johnson Drive, police said.

Officers responded and spotted the man inside the vehicle he had broken into. The man exited the car and tried to run from the officers, police said.

While searching the parking lot, a K-9 unit located the suspect hiding underneath another parked car, police said.

The suspect, Maurice Sohail Mull of Palm Desert, was booked into Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of auto burglary.

If a witness saw him break the window, and the police found him inside the car when they arrived, why does the headline read: Man Arrested for 'Alleged' Car Break-in.."?

Shouldn't it read: Unconvicted Criminal Arrested for Breaking Into Car??

Sorry.. I'm getting tired. I didn't get my nap today.

A great job by the K9 team and especially the dog. I'm always' "up" to learn more about the good things these great dogs do for the Pleasanton Police Department.
